In diesem Lernkurs erhältst du ein umfassendes Grundverständnis rund um das Pferd. Du lernst die Bedürfnisse und das Verhalten des Pferdes kennen und verstehst seine Natur als Herdentier. Zudem werden verschiedene Haltungsformen erklärt und in Bezug auf Wohlbefinden und Alltag eingeordnet. Ein weiterer Bestandteil ist das Exterieur des Pferdes, bei dem du die äußeren Merkmale, Körperteile und den grundlegenden Knochenaufbau kennenlernst. Ergänzend vermittelt der Kurs Grundlagen zur Pferdegesundheit sowie zur Fütterung und dem Verdauungssystem.

Penelope Goddard is a specialist veterinary ophthalmologist who enjoys teaching undergraduate students and practitioners about diseases of the eye. She has a particular interest in cataracts and glaucoma, two common eye conditions in older animals. She has worked at the University of Pennsylvania's College of Veterinary Medicine since 2008. Dr. Hampson has also authored several book chapters and abstracts, presented her research at conferences, served on the organizing committee for veterinary ophthalmology meetings.
